Forum Post: Account Error

We are getting "Account Error, There are problems with your account. To fix them, please sign in again" messages when opening Office programs.  The programs work fine, except for Lync, which continually prompts or credential.  When we click the Fix Me button, it prompts us to Sign In, but then gives a message "We are unable to connect right now.  Please check your network and try again later."

If we run the Office program As Administrator, there are no error messages.  I've been trying to research this for months and know that nothing is wrong with our network, and I've already made the reg key permissions settings for activating Office, but this issue is different.  It does seem to be related to security permissions on some files/folders/reg keys, since the Run As Admin works, but I can't find any information about what to change to allow this to work.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Chris,

I understand that you want to change the language for your Word and PPT template. Because our forum only provides support for Office365 cloud service with limited resources for Office client issue. To get more professional help, I suggest you post the question to our Office community. The engineers there will help you with the issue. We appreciate your understanding and support.

Thanks,
Kevin

Hi Todd,

There are two PowerShell commands which you can use:

First, Connect to Exchange Online using remote PowerShell: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj984289%28v=exchg.150%29.aspx

Second, run this command: Get-StaleMailboxDetailReport

This command will give you a list of the inactive mailboxes for the last 5 days.

Third, you can also run this command: Get-mailbox -resultsize unlimited| Get-MailboxStatistics | select displayname, lastlogontime

This command will give you the last logon time of each mailboxes. Note: the LastLogonTime is for owner or non-owner access. i.e. delegate opens the mailbox will trigger that value.

Thanks,
Colin

"About the data on SharePoint Online, data protection services are provided to prevent the loss of SharePoint Online data. Backups are performed every 12 hours and retained for 14 days. "

I don't think this was ever true. I've seen other Msft responses that state if you clear the recycle bin, there's no other recourse. It would be nice to get an accurate and more detailed response that explains how a recovery is performed IF the above is true.

Hello

Lync 2013 is part of Office 2013 client

to upgrade your basic client, you need to install Office 2013

as part of Office 365 you may be able to get Office 2013 (prior to proper plan selection and license assignment)

Hello

this looks like you did not publish (make it available to everyone) your modified pages

connect to your public site and Sign In (default link is located on top right)

then open the Gear and go to the site content

then reach the Pages library

select one page and take a look at the Ribbon\File section

If the Publish button is available, this means the page is not published and so accessible only to you

Just hit the button and your update pages should go live

I had to orphan the users first by disabling directory synchronization...then I could delete the users. then use the adavanced features of the sync tool to add the correct OU.
